Job Description
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Provides hybrid (onsite and virtual) operational support for transplant centers based in Mexico
- Supports the onboarding and continual operational support of network transplant centers in Mexico
- Works with physicians and clinical teams at transplant center to facilitate end to end patient cases including facilitating patient typing, patient entry through search and workup to post-collection
- Proactively follows up on patient cases and provides updates to clinical teams at transplant centers
- Ensures the completion, accuracy, and timely submission of all case related documents including but not limited to registry specific forms, COFEPRIS permit documents, etc.
- Supports the financial process for transplants in Mexico in collaboration with transplant centers internal teams
- Assists with managing quality issues at transplant centers
- Supports reporting to NMDP and CIBTMR
- Commit to periodic travel in Mexico, up to 6 trips annually, 2-3 day length each
- Other duties as assigned
Collaborates with internal NMDP teams to facilitate patient case coordination
- Works closely with Clinical Operations Partner, Patient Navigation, Case Management, Search Strategy, Finance, and others to facilitate patient cases and navigate barriers on behalf of transplant centers
- Proactively provides updates to internal teams on the status of patient cases for all assigned transplant centers
- Communicates operational needs of transplant centers to internal teams and leadership at NMDP
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of:
- English language fluency
- Medical terminology
- Basic customer service principles
- Data privacy and confidentiality principles for handling medical information.
- Proficient in using multiple software applications including Microsoft Office.
Ability to:
- Manage ambiguity in supporting patient cases
- Work well in a cross-functional and cross-cultural team
- Communicate clearly and effectively
- Work in a fast-paced environment
- Use critical thinking skills to solve complex problems
- Influence decision making without direct authority
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree: healthcare administration, public health, nursing or a related discipline
- Experience working in a hospital setting or closely with clinical teams
- 3-5 years of experience in healthcare operational support, coordination, and/or related roles
Salary range (gross monthly): $30,000 – $40,000 mexican pesos.
