Research Associate, Exosome Production Team

Position Overview: Research Associate I/II – Exosome Production Team

A position is immediately available within our Research group for a Research Associate I/II to support the Exosome Production Team and assist in process Development efforts for existing research studies. The successful candidate, under the direction of a supervisor, is responsible for data collection, analysis, and other in vitro and in vivo related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Conducting literature reviews.
• Collecting and analyzing data.
• Maintaining accurate records of data, safeguarding the confidentiality of subjects, as necessary.
• Summarizing experiments and data.
• Providing ready access to all experimental data for the team researcher and/or supervisor.
• Requesting or acquiring equipment or supplies necessary for the project.
• Managing and responding to project-related emails.
• Preparing, maintaining, and updating website materials.
• Attending project meetings.
• Attending area seminars and other meetings as necessary.
• Summarizing project results.
• Preparing progress reports for the PI.
• Preparing other articles, reports, and presentations.
• Monitoring the project reagents and materials.
• Tissue harvesting and submitting samples for histology.
• Sterile tissue culture.
• RNA/DNA isolation from cells or tissues.
• Flow cytometry analysis.
• Performing PCR, qrt-PCR, or other basic molecular biology techniques.
• Performing such other duties as may be assigned to you from time to time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in the biological sciences (or experience in biology research).
• Ability to work as part of a team and complete experiments, analyze data, and provide results to end-users in a timely fashion is required.
• 1+ years of sterile tissue culture experience.
• Cell culture and molecular biology skills are required.
• cGMP experience preferred but not required.
• Experience with flow cytometry, functional assays, DNA, RNA, and protein analysis is preferred.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Comfortable working in a professional office/lab environment, with occasional remote work opportunities.
• Ability to sit and use a computer for extended periods.
• May require lifting of materials up to 20 pounds.
• Must be able to handle laboratory equipment and perform lab procedures which may include standing for extended periods.

Compensation (USD)

Salary Range: $60,000 – $70,000 annually
