SVP and Chief Technology Officer- Remote USA

Job Profile Summary

Overall responsibility for Information Technology (IT) infrastructure operations, operating systems and tools, user support, and platform development, including improvements through efficiencies, modernization, and people development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads the infrastructure section of IT.
  • Works with peers and the other sections of the IT department to provide excellent IT services to PRA Group
  • As a member of the IT leadership team, contributes to IT strategy and planning.
  • Develops PRA Group’s IT platform and infrastructure to reduce cost and improve efficiency, stability, and agility.
  • Directs teams of technical, professional, and management staff in the successful fulfillment of IT service delivery commitments
  • Oversees the execution of enterprise technology standards, governance processes, and performance metrics to ensure IT delivers value to the enterprise.
  • Directs risk evaluation and compliance management processes.
  • Drives infrastructure planning, engineering, and deployment.
  • Optimizes and manages internal cloud services including outsourced and offshore resources.
  • Partners with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in the formulation of IT policies.
  • Oversees the formulation IT infrastructure procedures, performance management processes, and measures.
  • Directs resource management, with reference to the IT workforce plan.
  • Provides leadership in planning and managing computer operations and production support, systems and database administration, network operations, PC/desktop support, and customer service.
  • Ensures systems performance and service-level requirements are met
  • Manages IT resource requirements to ensure appropriate balance between tactical and strategic demands. Implements IT continuous improvement programs within enterprise guidelines
  • Leads IT asset management team to ensure asset’s full lifetime cycle value is achieved
  • Manages strategic relationships with key IT product and services providers
  • Provides in-depth technical expertise for both tactical and operational initiatives

Experience

  • 15 or more years in IT and business/industry
  • 5-7 years of leadership responsibility in managing multiple, large, cross-functional teams or projects and influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders
  • Extensive experience in managing infrastructure and operations

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Strong leadership capability
  • Extensive knowledge of infrastructure planning and operations, design and deployment, as well as system life cycle management
  • Strong budget planning, financial management and resource management skills
  • Expert knowledge of current and emerging technologies, technology directions and strategic application to business needs
  • Ability to effectively deploy resources and manage multiple projects of diverse scopes in a cross-functional environment
  • Ability to improve operational efficiency and service delivery effectiveness across all lines of business and technology platforms
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technology solutions in business terms, establish rapport and persuade others
  • Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or related field
