The Temporary User Experience Assistant will support data-driven design decisions to enhance or optimize the overall user journey and interactivity across all digital touchpoints (app, mobile, web) to produce intuitive and user-friendly outcomes.

 

The role

  • Support incremental UX enhancements across Gildan’s digital ecosystems, ensuring alignment and prioritization within the Digital Product Roadmap.
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of UX documentation to support initiatives across digital properties, including user flows, storyboards, user personas, wireframes, prototypes, information architecture, journey maps, and related documentation.
  • Collaborate with the senior UX team members and project stakeholders to accurately express UX requirements on key projects by assisting in the creation and subsequent implementation of customized digital experiences as required by the business – Follow an iterative design process that includes accepting and managing feedback.
  • Assist with planning and conducting usability tests to identify areas of conflict and opportunities for enhancement in the user experience.
  • Create reports and visualizations to communicate user research and usability testing findings to stakeholders.

The requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Digital Design, Human-Computer Interaction or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years’ commercial experience in a similar or relevant position.
  • Ability to collaboratively resolve design challenges.
  • Moderate understanding of UX principles, design thinking, and user-centered design processes is imperative.
  • Knowledge of usability testing and accessibility standards is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of user interface design standards, including responsive and adaptive design techniques.
  • Excellent organization/time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and time-sensitive deliverables.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving abilities, entrepreneurial, great attention to detail, excellent listening and communication skills.
