Are you an analytical thinker with a passion for strategy, performance, and driving improvement? Go-Ahead London is seeking a Strategy & Performance Manager to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of London’s largest bus operator.

About The Role

Reporting directly to the Head of Strategy & Performance, you’ll be responsible for analysing operational data and providing insights to drive efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability. Working closely with engineering and operational teams, you’ll identify trends, create streamlined performance reporting, and contribute to Go-Ahead London’s strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and analyse operational performance data to reduce duplication and establish a single, reliable source of truth.
  • Develop detailed performance reports and identify trends to support decision-making at both local and Group levels.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) at route and garage levels, such as EWT, deductible lost mileage, and VOR days.
  • Benchmark performance against industry standards and recommend process improvements to enhance service quality.
  • Work closely with finance teams to integrate financial and performance data for budgeting and strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with garage teams to understand day-to-day challenges and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Present actionable insights and recommendations to senior management

Qualifications

We’re looking for a proactive and data-driven individual with the following:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience in corporate finance, strategic development, performance analysis, or a similar role, ideally within the transport industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with internal stakeholders.
  • A collaborative approach and a passion for driving continuous improvement.
