About Role:

  • Provide engineering services support in the field of mechanical engineering design, and maintaining engineering and technical standards & documentation.
  • Maintain all Company’s Engineering Documents & Drawings and provide access to end users Site Operation & Maintenance and Abu Dhabi HQ other discipline.
  • Manage, execute and deliver as built schemes to update data for the company’s site operational areas. Develop and endorse Company’s Engineering Design Standards and code of Practices. Develop and endorse Company’s Standards and code of Practices.
  • Approve Engineering Design, Engineering, and implementation for new and existing project. Authorize Management of Change, deviations from standard practices on Engineering Design, Survey and Documentation issues.
  • Ensure standards, codes of practice and specification related to design, survey and documentation are consistently applied. Resolve Contractor’s technical queries related to engineering design, survey work and documentation.
  • Provide expertise and support to Project Divisions by reviewing and approving key document deliverables throughout VAP life cycle stages.
  • Ensure the development and management of the Engineering Services Team schedule of product deliveries working with Assets, Departmental and Shareholders entities to set priority against available resources and budgets.
  • Provide support to Site for Mechanical, Turnaround & Inspection in more cost-effective solutions and value addition. Ensure effective implementation of Maintenance, shutdown programs and modification to achieve enhanced plant safety, integrity, availability & reliability.
  • Provide support for effective failure analysis, bad actor’s, conduct & participate RCAs for plant reliability improvement. Guide the team to develop solutions for problem resolution, plan and implement the solution in a time bound manner.
  • Provided technical inputs to various upgrade and obsolescence issue being addressed by site and assist for effective implementation of various static equipment upgrade/replacement/enhancement projects to maintain equipment reliability & Integrity.
  • Provide Technical input for project activities and participate in all project studies (HAZOP/Design Review/HAZID/3D Model Review..etc.).
  • Participate in engineering reviews, FAT/SAT, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
  • Review equipment history data, analyze chronic failures and problems, develop recovery strategy for the implementation of upgrades and modifications to improve reliability. Any other related assignments as advised by the management.
  • Train and develop the assigned YDP’s on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

6 years of relevant experience minimum 3 years in construction activities within Oil and Gas or Petrochemical Field, within a large industrial organization, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry
