Key Responsibilities
- Develop and/or refine the course syllabus to align with departmental goals.
- Prepare lectures, assignments, projects, and assessments to facilitate effective learning.
- Evaluate student submissions and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Maintain designated office hours (a minimum of one hour per week) to assist students, either in-person or virtually.
- Participate in departmental meetings as needed.
- Stay abreast of current teaching methods and best practices in higher education.
- Utilize platforms such as Blackboard and TEAMS to enhance the educational experience.
- Complete the CPAST assessment system training (materials provided).
- Submit mid-semester and final grades within stipulated deadlines.
- Cultivate a positive rapport with students and colleagues to foster a collaborative learning environment.
Required Skills
- Prior experience in teaching within the field of Education.
- Active Connecticut teaching certificates required.
- Familiarity with virtual teaching formats.
- Understanding of the EdTPA assessment system is preferred.
- A strong commitment to cultural competency and engagement with diverse student populations.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- A Master’s degree in Education (a Terminal degree is preferred).
- Proven teaching experience in the field of Education.
- Experience in virtual teaching formats is advantageous.

Compensation And Benefits
- Non-Terminal Degree/0-6 Credits Experience: $3,000.00
- Terminal Degree/0-6 Credits Experience: $3,200.00
- Non-Terminal Degree/7+ Credits Experience: $3,400.00
- Terminal Degree/7+ Credits Experience: $3,700.00
