Remote Clinical Education | WFH Adjunct Faculty

We invite passionate and dedicated educators to join our esteemed team as temporary adjunct faculty within the Office of Clinical Practice, part of our dynamic Education Department. This is a remarkable opportunity to play a vital role in shaping the professional journeys of teacher candidates and in-service teachers by providing essential guidance, support, and constructive feedback.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and/or refine the course syllabus to align with departmental goals.
• Prepare lectures, assignments, projects, and assessments to facilitate effective learning.
• Evaluate student submissions and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Maintain designated office hours (a minimum of one hour per week) to assist students, either in-person or virtually.
• Participate in departmental meetings as needed.
• Stay abreast of current teaching methods and best practices in higher education.
• Utilize platforms such as Blackboard and TEAMS to enhance the educational experience.
• Complete the CPAST assessment system training (materials provided).
• Submit mid-semester and final grades within stipulated deadlines.
• Cultivate a positive rapport with students and colleagues to foster a collaborative learning environment.

Required Skills

• Prior experience in teaching within the field of Education.
• Active Connecticut teaching certificates required.
• Familiarity with virtual teaching formats.
• Understanding of the EdTPA assessment system is preferred.
• A strong commitment to cultural competency and engagement with diverse student populations.
• Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Education (a Terminal degree is preferred).
• Proven teaching experience in the field of Education.
• Experience in virtual teaching formats is advantageous.

Compensation And Benefits

• Non-Terminal Degree/0-6 Credits Experience: $3,000.00
• Terminal Degree/0-6 Credits Experience: $3,200.00
• Non-Terminal Degree/7+ Credits Experience: $3,400.00
• Terminal Degree/7+ Credits Experience: $3,700.00
