Job Description

The Chief of Staff is a strategic leader who can drive, support and implement a vision, as well as outline and execute the essential deliverables and goals of the President & CEO. The Chief of Staff provides a broad range of strategic initiatives, executive-level management, leadership and operations support to the President and CEO. The position’s primary responsibilities include oversight of the Authority’s strategic planning process and execution and implementation of cross-division policy directives and programs, while directing the day-to-day operations of the President & CEO’s Office, including; scheduling, correspondence fiscal accountability and supervision of Authority staff; and managing the statutory and legislative obligations of the Authority and of the Board.

The incumbent will serve as the primary liaison to the Executive Staff and VEEP Special Operations Team, industry groups, internal/external stakeholders and agencies within the District of Columbia Government to ensure the successful execution of Authority objectives. The position requires a high degree of flexibility and responsiveness to the immediate business needs of the organization. The Chief of Staff is expected to manage the President & CEO’s priorities, including the design and execution of key performance indicators and all operation and capital expenditure obligations. This position reports to the President & CEO.
