Description
As a Delivery Van Driver at Dakri Cartons, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of small orders to our customers across the Island. You will be responsible for operating a small delivery van, handling our products with care, and maintaining a high level of customer service
Key Responsibilities
- Delivery of Orders: Efficiently deliver carton orders to customers across the Island, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Product Handling: Handle our products with care to prevent damage during transportation and delivery.
- Loading and Unloading: Assist in the loading and unloading of our products from the delivery van.
- Route Planning: Plan delivery routes to optimize time and fuel efficiency, ensuring all deliveries are completed as scheduled.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and delivery confirmations.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns professionally and courteously.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues promptly.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with the logistics team and report any issues or delays in deliveries.
Qualifications
- Valid Mauritius driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is a plus.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry carton products.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
Working Conditions
- This position involves frequent driving and outdoor work.
- Overtime may be required to meet delivery demands.
- The candidate must be comfortable working independently and in various weather conditions.
