Kayak and Sailing Online Course Specialist:

In this role the candidate will assist with promoting, facilitating, and implementing new strategies to improve online learning for MSU KIN students. The candidate will assist both the Paddlesports Instructor and the MSU Sailing Center Facility Manager with KIN 101U and KIN 101N online courses.

Required Qualifications

• Experience with online education programs.
• Experience with paddling techniques and boating programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• Proficiency with software applications for email, scheduling, using D2L and other MSU instructor systems.
• Strong communication skills and ability to respond to students’ questions in a prompt fashion.
• Demonstrated experience with working effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, in support of an inclusive and welcoming environment.
• Understanding of current issues and best practices in outdoor education.

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters Degree in related field.
• Knowledge of curriculum development and administration.
• Knowledge of paddling locations and conditions in Michigan
