About The Team
The Strategy, Planning and Analytics (SP&A) sits within the wider Regional BI & Planning team. SP&A’s mandate comes from the Group President and the Leadership team. Our focus is on providing insights and analyses to support the leadership team in making sound decisions to develop our businesses – ecommerce and digital finance. We collaborate closely with Regional and Local teams on a variety of topics to achieve our mandate.
As a Research Analyst, you will play a crucial role in providing data-driven insights in support of SP&A’s mandate.
Job Description
- Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research on various industries, including market analysis, competitive intelligence, and financial analysis.
- Data Collection: Gather relevant data from multiple sources, such as industry reports, databases, and primary research.
- Data Analysis: Utilize advanced analytical techniques to extract meaningful insights from complex data sets.
- Report Writing: Prepare clear and concise reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate findings to senior stakeholders.
- Knowledge Management: Contribute to the development and maintenance of knowledge repositories.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above.
- Minimum 1 year of working experience in a top-tier firm in strategy consulting, asset management, or equity research.
- Minimum 1 year of working experience in research function covering equity, industry, or market.
- Minimum 2 years of working experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent research and data analysis abilities.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python) is preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of industry-specific databases and tools is preferred
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and data visualization techniques is preferred.
