Handyman (JHB, Boksburg)

• Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify any issues that may require repair or maintenance.
• Perform general maintenance in the facility.
• Ensure light fittings, bulbs and sensors are installed and maintained.
• Paint and fill gaps or crevices (on walls, sidewalks etc.)
• Undertake basic cabinetry work that is required
• Repair equipment and appliances
• Assist with electrical, plumbing and HVAC repairs.
• Identify and report the need for major repairs.
• Conduct repairs on equipment such as furniture, doors, and windows.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections
• carried out.
• Ensure that each job card is closed off timeously.
• Ensure compliance to the company’s preventative maintenance plan.
• Ensuring that all electrical equipment is in safe working order in line with current legislation and H&S regulations.
• Ensure that all tasks allocated are completed effectively and timeously
• Responding quickly to any emergencies.
• Working within a preventive maintenance program that will minimize service repairs in the long run.
• Effective completion of routine preventative maintenance, unplanned
• remedial, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requirements
• Keep good general appearance of the grounds and buildings.
• Ensure that the job is complete as per job card requirements.
• Make recommendations for continual improvement and support improvement.
• To ensure that all equipment and materials are not left in dangerous state.
• Any other reasonable task that may be required by management

Qualifications

• Grade 12
• Relevant Technical Artisan Qualifications

Experience

• 2 Year Proven experience as handyman

Skills

• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing general maintenance
• Ability to safely use common power and hand tools.
• HVAC knowledge and repair skills.
