Job Description

Responsibilities
- Manages the data housed in the BODFI database for intellectual property, agreements (licenses, material transfer, non-disclosure, collaboration, etc.) and related finances.
- Inputs data from different source to ensure data base fidelity and availability as a resource to drive business insights and inter-office efficiencies.
- Generates and disseminates monthly, quarterly and yearly reports and communications to various stakeholders at BODFI and at DFCI.
- Identifies and resolves BODFI database/internal system conflicts and errors in legacy data to ensure high quality and accuracy within the database and across integrations with other databases.
- Executes on BODFI artificial intelligence projects & initiatives associated with BODFI processes and data collection and analyses on intellectual property disclosures, commercialization and licensing, finance and tracking of key performance indicators.
- Collaborates with BODFI staff and other database stakeholders, who are subject matter experts on intellectual property, agreements and financial terms, and business development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Computer Science or other similar fields required.
- 2+ years of experience in an academic technology transfer setting.
- Experience in the AI tools such as ChatGPT required.

- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to problem-solve, to maintain confidentiality and to work across diverse teams balancing needs and priorities.
- A team player, who listens effectively, invites response and discussion, and is willing and eager to learn.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and database management.
- Proficiency in the development of AI models, particularly generative AI chatboxes.
