IT Technical Support Officer- NHS Band 5 – Full time

We are looking for an experienced IT professional to lead a small team. You will be based in the Health Informatics Department (IT) at Chestnut View, Woodfield Park, Tickhill Road Hospital Site, Balby, Doncaster, DN4 8QN.

You will work closely with the Field Support Manager providing technical support which will involve updating and managing incidents and service requests within the IT Installation Moves & Changes Team.

We support a large range of endpoint devices (desktop & laptops) including printers, smartphones VOIP phones and tablets across NHS departments including GP (General Practitioner) Surgeries in the Doncaster area.

You may be required to travel throughout the Trust supported area’s including to Rotherham, Doncaster and Scunthorpe.

You will be in a supervisory role, and you will manage a small team of staff whom you will take responsibility for and supervise. You will be responsible for support calls from customers and resolving then in a timely manner. You will be responsible for investigating reported faults, maintaining communications, and liaising with customers to effect appropriate repairs to faults within designated timescales and quality of service standards. You are also required to analyse IT problems and design, test, document and implement appropriate solutions. You may be required to work in any of the technical support officer roles and undertake any relevant training. This is a hands-on role.

You will have the ability to deliver high quality IT Support with an excellent knowledge of endpoint MS Windows operating systems and software with the confidence and ability to effectively communicate complex information to customers at all levels and with differing skill sets.
