Overview: Our client is a “household name” establishment in Barbados. As one of the longest established distribution, manufacturing and retail organisations, they have a reputation for customer satisfaction. Due to growth, they are seeking to add a proven professional to the finance team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare, examine, and analyse accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including payables, receivables, and general ledger.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and financial standards.
- Assist with audits, budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial reporting.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize financial processes and ensure smooth operation of financial systems.
- Supervise the Accounting team.
Requirements
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- At least a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- ACCA designation or equivalent.
- 3 years’ experience in a leadership accounting role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and Word and other relevant accounting software.
- Excellent knowledge of statutory financial regulations and requirements.
- Must possess strong leadership, interpersonal, problem solving, communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
- Well organized, efficient and decisive.
