Job Description
Essential Job Functions
- Supervise construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule
- Review and become familiar with the schedule and budget and ensuring adherence to these
- Provide Daily and Weekly schedule updates
- Maintain records for site personnel such as daily field reports, field orders and RFIs
- Plan, coordinate and supervise onsite functions (scheduling, engineering, material control, etc.)
- Supervise craft employees and/or other contractors as required by the contract
- May authorize and/or approve all project personnel transactions, purchase requisitions, field design change requests, etc.
- Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required
- Assist project management in developing and implementing project procedures, working documents, standards, etc.
- Ensure all onsite personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, etc. Document all violations, notify project management, recommend/implement corrective actions as required
- Assume responsibility for productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials & equipment, and contractual performance of the project
- Perform additional assignments per Supervisor’s direction.
Qualifications
- Experience managing crews
- Industry-related technical, operations and safety training
- Ability to interpret and build according to drawings, specifications, and other documents
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Collaborative attitude and teamwork personality
- Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
- Ability to recognize and identify changes from the original scope of work
- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction
- Excellent communication, organizational and supervisory skills essential
- Basic computer skills with experience in MS Office and HCSS preferred
Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, kneel, crawl, stoop and/or sit.
- Work will frequently require individuals to push, pull, bend or stand for long periods of time, and climb ladders that have capacity limits of 300 lbs.
- Must be able to lift or carry miscellaneous equipment, supplies and parts up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
