Manager, Integrated Marketing & Synergy

Job Description

This role is for an enthusiastic, highly collaborative marketing individual who possess a unique blend of creative and business skills combined with the ability to deliver results! This individual will manage the execution of synergy initiatives and custom multi-platform promotions to drive awareness, engagement and interest for Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures and Disney Plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in partnership with Director to develop overall marketing plans for theatrical/streaming/in-home releases
  • Responsible for being an efficient, communicative and collaborative team player, contributing creative ideas, leading partnerships and executing plans efficiently
  • Lead partnership promotions as laid out by the director on the team. This includes but is not limited to providing creative direction, creative development, script writing, shoot coverage and logistics, critiquing in-progress cuts, and overseeing delivery of custom materials on campaign projects
  • Develop social and digital plans for custom promotional content
  • Oversee publicity efforts across synergy partners including planning and coverage of junkets, red carpets and talk show custom activations
  • Guide development of internal presentations and executive-facing documents, working with the team specialist and coordinator to execute
  • Run point on building and coordinating updates on legal agreements with internal and partner legal teams
  • Provide on-set shoot coverage as needed
  • Represent our team in internal marketing meetings and present to filmmakers as needed
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key partners across TWDC and with external media networks
  • Liaise with related departments to execute marketing plans (Creative Content, Publicity, Online, Creative Print Services, Media, Legal and Finance)
  • Ensure plan/execution details are updated weekly within marketing briefs/plans/production/delivery charts so team and all relevant departments and/or partners know plan details/approaching deadlines
  • Work with Director to ensure all budgets and reporting documents are up to date and accurate
  • Present upcoming film slate to synergy partners & external media networks
  • Pitch creative concepts to director, partners and secure film promotions
  • Participate in internal idea generation for film releases
  • Lead brainstorming sessions with Select Partners
  • Participate in strategy development and idea generation.
  • Execute added value promotions with external media networks with direction from Director
  • Take on additional projects as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years relevant experience.
  • Experience in integrated marketing and/or working with production elements, exhibiting an understanding of production process
  • Demonstrate project management skills for marketing executions
  • Experience working with in-show integrations a plus
  • Demonstrate the ability to make and maintain strong working relationships
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work on many projects simultaneously
  • Candidate must demonstrate strong broadcast and online experience and be familiar with emerging media and new technology platforms.
  • Outstanding communication skills, written and oral.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with others as a collaborative team player.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Required Education:

Bachelor’s Degree

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $79,700 to $103,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
