About The Role

As a Communications Associate, you will support Uber’s efforts across Brazil for riders and the Uber Moto product based in São Paulo. This role reports to the Head of Comms for Brazil, and as a team, you will work to communicate our mobility narrative effectively.

What The Candidate Will Do
- Reinforce Uber’s Moto value proposition, showcasing the accessibility, affordability, and opportunities the product provides to diverse rider profiles, especially in underserved regions.
- Highlight new products, features, and app improvements designed to enhance the rider experience with the Uber app.
- Develop a compelling and consistent narrative on Uber’s commitment to affordable and reliable urban mobility, primarily through the rapid expansion of Uber Moto among underserved regions or audiences.
- Respond to media requests related to Uber Moto and rider-focused inquiries, including those focused on service availability and community impact.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams such as Operations, Public Policy, Legal, and Marketing to gather information for external communications and provide insights into regional challenges.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in public relations or external communications.
- Expertise in media relations and crisis management communications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in social media platforms and digital communications.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Effective team player.
- Capable of managing multiple stakeholders and navigating ambiguous situations.
- Flexible work schedule, including but not limited to weekend work hours and the option to work in a hybrid system.
- Advanced proficiency in English and fluent in Portuguese
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant experience may include a combination of journalism, agency experience, in-house communications, and experience with similar industries
- Familiarity with the unique challenges of managing communications in the mobility segment will be a differentiating factor
