Key Responsibilities
Program Management and Oversight:

- Oversee daily operations of the respite and other program activities, ensuring high quality service provision and adherence to best practices.
- Develop and implement program workplan, objectives, and goals.
- Prepare regular reports on program performance, including activity execution and spending, for leadership review.
Budget And Resource Management

- Assist with the development and management of the program’s budget, in close collaboration with the Senior Finance Manager, ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and increased efficiency without compromising service quality.
Reporting And Compliance

- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all program activities, incidents, and outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations outlined in the grant agreement, in addition to applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
- Ensure timely submission of any narrative, data, and financial reporting required by the funder, in collaboration with relevant colleagues.
Relationship-building And Outreach

- Build and maintain relationships with community partners, local agencies, and government entities to enhance service delivery and resource access for clients.
- Represent the organization at meetings and conferences, as needed.
Staff Supervision And Development

- Lead, supervise, and mentor program staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and professional work environment for staff.
- Organize regular team meetings to review program updates, challenges, and staff development needs.
- Ensure staff are trained on trauma-informed care, conflict resolution, safety protocols, and other relevant areas.
- Supervise department leads, including the Intake Coordinator, Service Coordinator, and Logistics Coordinator.

- Contribute to fundraising and new business development efforts, as needed.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in program management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role within social services setting.
- Fluency in English, with proficiency in a second language (preferably Spanish or French).
- Computer proficiency, including Word, Excel, Sharepoint, Teams, and similar applications.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations, including migrants and refugees, required.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team in a dynamic, high-demand environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, staff, partners, and the donor.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, exhibit professional conduct, and demonstrate cultural competency in working with diverse populations.
- Ability to manage potential emergencies or situations involving individuals in crisis.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to pass required background checks and health screenings (drugs, alcohol, TB).
- Must be vaccinated for COVID-19 and able to work in-person within the DMV area, with occasional travel/accompaniment to other locations.
Physical Demands
- Ability to perform light housekeeping and lifting up to 30 pounds independently.
- Use of manual dexterity, tactile, visual, and audio acuity.
- Use of repetitive motion, prolonged periods of sitting, and sustained visual and mental applications and demands.
