Pathologist

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting routine and specialized tests on patient samples and accurately interpreting the results according to established protocols.
• Performing gross and microscopic examinations of tissue specimens to diagnose diseases and abnormalities.
• Collaborating with other medical professionals to determine the best course of action for patient treatment.
• Overseeing the selection, training, and supervision of laboratory staff to ensure efficient and accurate testing procedures.
• Staying up-to-date with developments in the field of pathology and implementing new technology and techniques to improve diagnostic capabilities.
• Maintaining records of test results, patient information, and quality control measures.
• Ensuring compliance with all regulatory, safety, and ethical guidelines.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree in Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Current valid medical license to practice as a Pathologist.
• Fellowship training in a pathology subspecialty is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Excellent diagnostic and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with others.
• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with laboratory information systems and proficiency in using computer software.
