What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a Local Sales Lead who will play a pivotal role in driving sales of our horticultural farm produce i.e. potatoes, cabbages, leeks and onions among others in the local market. This position requires a proactive, customer-focused individual with strong market knowledge and a passion for agriculture.

What Does The Job Involve

  • Develop and execute sales strategies
  • Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets for produce
  • Expand customer base in local markets
  • Ensure consistent visibility of produce in the market
  • Develop loyal partnerships with key market vendors
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Identify and capitalize on market opportunities
  • Build and maintain relationships with market vendors and customers
  • Coordinate with production team to ensure product availability
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity
  • Provide detailed sales reports and performance analysis

Qualifications

  • A degree or diploma in Sales, Marketing, or any relevant courses.
  • Solid understanding of local sales market dynamics
  • Minimum 3 years experience in handling high tonnages of farm produce and pushing it to the market
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written in English
  • Confidentiality, integrity and professionalism
  • Strong interpersonal skills and negotiation skills
  • Flexibility, adaptability, accountability and ability to deliver on set deadlines
