The Accounting Clerk will track the organizations assets, liabilities, and other related financial activities
Requirements
Essential Functions
- Maintains records of accounts payable and cash and other related duties in the accounting department.
- Reconciles accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are all accounted for a properly posted.
- Reconciles bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.
- Manages vendor relationships and inquiries.
- Verifies payment of bills associated with accounts payable, ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts, and generates 1099’s.
- Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
- Assists with monthly preparation of invoices and client documentation.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to accuracy and detail.
- Knowledge of general financial accounting and basic bookkeeping.
- Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Proficient in NetSuite accounting software, preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education And Experience
- BS in Accounting, or applicable experience in Accounts Payable/Cash responsibilities
Working Conditions
Work is generally performed within an indoor office environment utilizing standard office equipment.
General office environment requiring: frequent sitting; dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and mouse; walking and standing for long periods of time; and lifting of less than 20 pounds.
No travel is required.
