The Asset Management & Capital Markets team at Curbline Properties is looking for an Associate in New York City who will provide asset management oversite over the Company’s portfolio of convenience retail assets. Each day the Associate will collaborate cross-functionally with business partners to formulate and implement property-level business plans and asset-level financial forecasts for a region of 40+ retail properties. The Associate contributes directly to the company’s strategy by communicating financial strategy across the broader portfolio and overseeing property level business plans with the goal of maximizing the value of assets under management. To thrive in this role, we need an analytical and detailed-oriented Associate with commercial real estate asset management or capital markets experience and strong financial modeling skills using Excel and Argus.

This position works a hybrid schedule in the NYC regional office Monday-Wednesday. During the initial 90-day onboarding period, we might encourage being onsite more than 3 days a week so you can get successfully oriented and trained in your new role.

The expected salary range for this position is between $110,000 – $137,000. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, geographical and industry market data, and business considerations and other factors permitted by law.

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • Conduct asset-level financial forecasts for a region of 40+ retail properties, collaborating with leasing, construction, legal, and property management to formulate and implement property-level business plans
  • Maintain portfolio-wide financial models, including leasing and expense forecasts and capital plans, and assist in the maintenance and revision of Company’s corporate model
  • Prepare and update reporting materials for internal and external users including lenders, equity investors, and Board of Directors
  • Provide portfolio monitoring of tenant exposure and credit, and review of tenant credit for new leasing opportunities
  • Conduct various analyses on public REIT securities including both equities and debt

We Are Looking For An Associate With

  • Prior experience in a professional, analytical role within the commercial real estate industry, specifically the asset management or capital markets function
  • Proficiency in Excel and Argus Enterprise
  • Strong educational background in finance or real estate
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when underwriting
  • Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
