Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Summary

Tracks and processes vendor invoices. Utilizes computer to enter and extract data for vendor and company records and extract data for reports along with printing checks. Interfaces with personnel in Department of Patient/Family Care Programs and other departments to verify financial responsibility for payment and statistical purposes. Processes accounts payable accurately and in a timely manner according to terms.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Prepares all invoices for approval according to schedule.
  • Prepares manual checks.
  • Codes and processes all accounts payable invoices accurately and according to schedule.
  • Runs all reports for accounts payable according to schedule.

Qualification Requirements

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • Two (2) years experience in accounts payable required.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs, both manually and on a computer.
  • Ability to perform analyses of accounts payable and vendor information at direction of Finance/Accounting Manager & Chief Financial Officer
