Reports To: Director of Safety and Regulatory Compliance

Role Overview

The Technical Publications Writer will create, revise, and manage technical documentation using Adobe FrameMaker and the Comply365 application. This role involves maintaining the Company Manual System (CMS) and ensuring publications are accurate, clear, and meet industry and regulatory standards.

Primary Responsibilities

• Update and maintain the CMS, ensuring all technical publications are accurate, clear, and user-friendly.
• Develop and edit manuals and alerts, read & sign documents and other supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with teams to gather information and prioritize tasks for technical publication development.
• Ensure all publications meet regulatory standards and internal guidelines.
• Create charts, diagrams, and figures for inclusion in publications.
• Manage document version control and documentation repositories.
• Stay updated on industry regulations, trends, and best practices.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong technical writing skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
• Proficiency in Adobe FrameMaker, XML authoring software, and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of technical writing standards and regulatory requirements.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and initiative.
• Flexible and able to manage time-sensitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of technical writing experience, preferably in aerospace.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in English, aviation, technical communications, engineering, or a related field (preferred).
