Job Title: Proctor – Testing Center

Classification: Operations Support

Summary

Assists in the administration and proctoring of testing for the Testing Center. Works in collaboration with Testing Specialist and reports to the Director of Testing Services.

Applicants may not be enrolled in LCCC coursework due to test integrity.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Proctors a variety of computer-based and paper tests, including but not limited to placement tests, course exams, ATl-TEAS exams, CLEP, Pearson VUE and other testing as
  • Performs data entry and assists with regular staff duties, such as filing, scanning and emailing exams
  • Maintains trainings and certifications necessary to proctor CLEP, Pearson VUE, and TEAS exams
  • Protects the confidentiality and security of all testing materials and other test documents while providing excellent customer
  • Understands, adheres to, and enforces FERPA guidelines
  • Reports academic dishonesty incidents to the Director of Counseling and Community Standards via StART reporting system. Assists with incidents by utilizing Testing Center Policy and assists in investigations as needed.

Qualifications

Required

Education

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited institution or a combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Certifications

  • Act 153 Clearances (Act 34 PA Criminal Background, Act 151 PA Child Abuse History, Act 114 FBI Clearance Fingerprinting)

Work Experience

  • Minimum of two years’ experience working within an office environment, preferably in a college setting.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability to interact with diverse groups of people including students and faculty.
  • Ability to work with a minimum of supervision and be able to make procedural decisions within standard operating policies.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel, and the ability to learn new software.
  • Must possess a high level of the following work skills and behaviors: teamwork/cooperation, initiative, customer service, and be eager to work when

  • Bachelor’s Degree. Bilingual (Spanish)

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee may regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
