Workforce Services Associate, Princeton, NJ

Job Summary:The Workforce Services Associate position requires a strong analytical background and the ability to oversee the day-to-day processes of the HR department including, but not limited to, policies & procedures, payroll, time management and more; requires in-depth knowledge of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures; relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Working knowledge of all applicable federal and state employment laws to ensure compliance. This position requires 3 days onsite in the Princeton office.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- HRIS Administration – Update and maintain HRIS (Success Factors) with new hire and employee changes information; maintain system and user security; create and generate standard and ad hoc reports; resolve employee system issues
- Policies and Procedures – Assists in the adherence of policies and procedures.
- Employee Relations –Assists Manager of Workforce Services, HR Director and HRBPs in law compliance and equitable treatment to all employees as it pertains to payroll processing. Answer all employee questions in a timely manner and provide guidance to policies and procedures when necessary.
- Payroll – Working with the Payroll Administrator, participate in the bi-weekly process to ensure accurate and efficient processing. Help to resolve tax discrepancies, audits
- SOPs – Create, update and maintain SOPs for Workforce Services functions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- 4 – 8 years of progressive experience in an Workforce Services or related role
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Must be knowledgeable in MS Word, Excel , PowerPoint
- Experience with SAP systems highly desired
- Tech savvy – ability to learn new programs quickly
- Must be organized, detail oriented, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines
- Must possess good problem solving skills
- Must possess a strong, professional presence
- Strong knowledge of HR concepts and practices
- Must possess the research instinct to obtain knowledge / answers
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in an independent manner with good judgment and a solid understanding of both strategic and tactical business needs
- Overtime hours when necessary
- Occasional travel to New Jersey Distribution Center
Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience. In addition, this position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan.
