Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on scripting, IT service automation, and enjoys the challenge of improving systems through thoughtful development and deployment. The successful candidate will be instrumental in scripting, reporting automation, software packaging, and endpoint remote management. Key Responsibilities
- Scripting and Automation: Develop and maintain scripts for IT service automation, reporting automation, and software packaging using PowerShell and other relevant technologies.
- Testing and Deployment: Conduct thorough testing of automated solutions and manage deployment processes to ensure smooth and reliable rollouts.
- Internal Module Development: Create and enhance internal modules to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency.
- Endpoint Remote Management: Manage and troubleshoot endpoints via CLI, ensuring reliable remote management and support.
- Service Improvement: Stand up new services and automation tools to improve operational efficiency while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver automation solutions that meet their needs.
Qualifications
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in at least one OOP language and OOP concepts.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively. Ability to thrive in an extremely fast paced working environment.
- Attention to Detail: Commitment to thorough testing and quality assurance to ensure solutions are robust and reliable.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
- GPA: 3.5+
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with endpoint remote management tools and CLI.
- Familiarity with deployment tools and methodologies.
- Understanding of best practices in automation and software development.
