What You Will Do

  • As a Mechanical Engineer, you will work cross-functionally in the engineering product development and maintenance of automated transmission and manual gearboxes, rear driven axles, clutches, and other auxiliary components for both combustion and battery-electrical vehicles within the Driveline scope.
  • Develop technical solutions for complete gearboxes, rear driven axles, clutches, and other auxiliary components and/or associated sub-systems (housings, gears, shafts, bearings, shifting, sealings, etc.).
  • Manage projects involving complete gearboxes, rear driven axles, clutches, and other auxiliary components and/or associated sub-systems, leading and organizing the cross-functional work in both local and global aspects.
  • Be a member in project teams, representing Driveline and deliver technical solutions, including driving activities such as V&V plans, performance tests and design reviews, to meet project goals, requirements, and customer expectations.
  • Drive quality related activities, by performing critical analysis, root cause investigation, evaluating the complete system, troubleshooting, proposing, designing, testing, and following-up solutions.
  • Support global development activities in coordination with our colleagues in Sweden, France, US and India.
  • Support manufacturing, purchasing and customer service areas in questions related to our products.
  • Manage the technical relationship and secure strong cooperation with related suppliers.
  • Be active on the adoption of data analytics processes and tools, supporting their development within our engineering activities.
  • Handle related documentation and process related activities (APQP, PPAP, Technical Regulations, BoM, Engineering Reports, etc.).
  • Interface with several stakeholders – project team members, development team members, management teams, and other engineering areas – in our multi-site organization, creating strong networks driving proactive and constructive cooperation.

Who are you?

  • Master of Science (equivalent to Engineering bachelor’s degree in Brazil) – Mechanical, Mechatronics, Production, or other related areas.
  • Previous professional experience in product development for automotive products is required.
  • Previous experiences with Powertrain Systems (gearboxes, combustion engines, electric propulsion, rear driven axles, propeller shafts, clutches) design or application will be considered a merit.
  • Post-Graduation will be considered as a merit.
  • Experience in applying techniques such as Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, quality tools, Agile methodology, etc.
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese (Written & Verbal) .
