Data Scientist (m/f/d)

What Work Will You Do?

• Deep dive into the intricacies of aviation data to build new data-driven products and develop innovative uses of artificial intelligence for the aviation industry.
• Build sophisticated machine learning, computer vision, and/or generative AI solutions for cloud environments.
• Turn data science prototypes into products with production-ready pipelines.
• Contribute to the development of end-to-end data solutions in collaboration with cross-functional data experts and collaborators from various teams.
• Communicate openly with customers to understand their business, identify their most meaningful metrics, and define their data requirements.
• Expand our ZeroG practices and culture through contributions to internal topics and initiatives.

What skills should you have?

• A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative subject area such as computer science, software engineering, or a related subject.
• Proficiency in using one or more programming or scripting languages to work with data, especially Python, including commonly used data science libraries, e.g., scikit-learn, Pandas, Pytorch, OpenCV.
• Consistent record of machine learning fundamentals.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Practical experience developing and deploying machine learning solutions.
• Strong communication skills (our working language is English) and comfort delivering results to customers and colleagues.
• A strong desire to learn every day and a self-starter mentality.
• Availability to travel as requested.

The following skills and experience would also be an asset:

• DevOps container and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working in cloud computing environments, especially Microsoft Azure.
• Ability to implement MLOps Pipelines in cloud environments such as Azure and GCP.
• Knowledge of MLOps frameworks like MLFlow.
• Knowledge of computer vision and/or natural language processing methods, tools, and libraries.
• Ability to use and implement brand new generative AI solutions.
• Experience with SQL.
• Experience in project management, particularly knowledge of agile project setups (e.g., Kanban, Scrum).
• Experience in the aviation industry.
