The Role

Join our dedicated claims department at a leading insurance brokerage committed to providing exceptional service. This role will involve assisting the current Claims Specialist while progressively taking ownership of DBL and PFL claims.

Key Responsibilities

  • Claims Management Support: Assist with managing workers’ compensation, auto, and DBL/PFL claims by following up on required documentation and ensuring timely correspondence with carriers and clients.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Collect and organize necessary claim-related information, maintain detailed records, and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Client Communication: Provide updates to clients regarding claims statuses, offering exceptional service to ensure clarity and satisfaction.
  • Process Ownership: Gradually take full responsibility for DBL and PFL claims, demonstrating initiative and the ability to handle tasks independently.
  • System Utilization: Utilize EPIC insurance software, Outlook, and Asana CRM to manage claims, document workflows, and stay organized.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Claims Specialist to streamline processes, identify areas for improvement, and ensure claims are resolved promptly and efficiently.

Ideal Profile

Qualifications

  • Experience: Prior experience in insurance, particularly in claims management, is highly preferred. Familiarity with EPIC software and CRM tools like Asana is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong multitasking abilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, and a proactive mindset to handle tasks quickly and accurately.
  • Attributes: Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of thinking critically while adhering to established laws and regulations.
