Job Description
Moorings Park is looking for a Director of Facilities. The Director of Facilities is responsible for supporting, operating, and reliably maintaining a physical environment that enables Moorings Park to achieve its mission of successful aging. The Director oversees campus facilities services including maintenance, environmental services, security, transportation, life safety and grounds maintenance. The Director of Facilities will have a proven track record of success managing resources, developing staff, honing processes, and implementing systems while responding to customer and staff.
Contributions
- Continually ensures the development and maintenance of Moorings Park mission, vision, values and strategies.
- Strengthens working relationships between facilities teams and the community, residents, and staff, achieving enhanced credibility and trust within and the between the facilities department and the resident community. Ensure services levels and standards are clear, documented and communicated throughout the Facilities organization upholding a strong commitment to customer service throughout the entire facilities area.
- Provides Facilities Management services to two regulated settings, Skilled Nursing Facility and an Assisted Living Facility.
- Provides coaching, leadership, and vision to the entire department; fosters teamwork and focuses on building and developing effective working relationships.
- Continuously develops the organizational capacity to achieve excellent Asset Management performance. This includes engaging the workforce by using data and leading by example to demonstrate a holistic asset management approach supported by sound business process that promote workplace safety and asset optimization.
- Ensures that effective, efficient, and detailed preventative maintenance program standards are articulated in facilities business processes and implemented in the Moorings Park Computerized Maintenance Management System. Utilize best practices to develop, implement and promote processes and work rules that establish consistent use of rules for priority, status, work identification, and characterization to improve work management and efficiency.
- Responsible for the planning and management of capital improvement projects.
- Ensures the highest level of customer satisfaction; residents, guests, vendors, and partners, by meeting and exceeding all customer expectations and needs.
- Develops, oversees, and holds managers accountable for managing their operating budgets. Conducts periodic review of budgetary practices and financial issues aimed at ensuring accountability and adherence to fiscally sound best business practices.
- Defines, monitors and implements key performance indicators for Facilities Department.
- Exhibits professional knowledge, proficiency, and initiative in achieving goals and meeting standards, setting strategic direction and long-term economic plans for the department and the organization as a whole.
- Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintains knowledge of and follows all company policies and procedures. This includes the development and maintenance of a self-sustaining system of internal management and general service controls in all areas and aspects of general services including OSHA compliance, capital expenditures, apartment refurbishment, annual preventive maintenance program, inspection and evaluation of physical facilities, housekeeping, security, transportation, grounds, and life safety.
- Obtain knowledge and demonstrate the principles of Moorings Park, person directed care and successful aging philosophies and their inherent core values of commitment, respect, compassion, dedication, teamwork, and quality. Team members will support, actively participate, and act in accordance with the principles of the Moorings Park service culture and be familiar with and fluent in the language and service pillars of Moorings.
Job Requirements
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language required
- During emergencies or natural disasters may be required to be on duty for the duration of the disaster.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or a minimum of five years of relevant experience
- Experience in facilities operation and/or management environment.
