Position Summary

The Clerical Support positions responsibilities include processing mail, filing, claims research, scanning, maintaining supplies, and other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all incoming and outgoing mail room processes, including sorting and distributing mail to appropriate departments.
  • Acts as liaison for reception area.
  • Sorts all paper claims received by product line, stamps with date received, and preps batch for processing.
  • Responsible for all daily claims scanning batches and organizes on shared file network for easy access to images.
  • Receives P.O. Box mail correspondence from courier daily.
  • Prepares daily outgoing mail for pick up by postage and mailing service.
  • Picks up mail from secure mailbox within the building premises to sort and distribute per policies.
  • Sends outgoing mail correspondence for the Company.
  • Responsible for logging inventory for Month end reporting purposes.
  • Responsible for writing normal business communications including e-mail, memos, letters, and work plans.
  • Provides coverage for the front desk reception area to greet and direct guests and deliveries as appropriate.
  • Ensures that necessary supply orders for claims department are made in a timely manner to avoid any workflow impact.
  • Assists with projects and clerical functions as needed.
  • Responsible for adhering to time and attendance policies to ensure workflow coverage.

Qualifications

  • High School or general education degree (GED); and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, and internet software.
