Job Description

The Director of Trend Athletes Division is responsible for leading the strategic direction, growth, and operational excellence of the athletes’ division within Trend Management. This role focuses on identifying, developing, and managing a portfolio of top-tier athletic talent while driving innovative partnerships and brand opportunities. As a key leader, you will ensure the division remains at the forefront of cultural relevance and commercial success in the evolving sports and lifestyle industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and execute the division’s vision, strategy, and goals in alignment with company objectives.
  • Monitor industry trends to position the division as a market leader in athlete management.
  • Identify growth opportunities in untapped markets, categories, and emerging sports.
  • Talent Acquisition & Development
  • Scout and onboard trendsetting athletes with strong cultural influence and market potential.
  • Oversee contract negotiations, endorsements, and sponsorship deals to maximize value for both the company and athletes.
  • Build long-term brand partnership strategies tailored to each athlete’s unique strengths, aspirations, and brand alignment.
  • Partnerships & Business Development
  • Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including brands, media outlets, event organizers, and leagues.
  • Drive innovative collaborations that integrate athletes into broader cultural, fashion, and lifestyle platforms.
  • Represent the division in high-profile meetings, industry events, and strategic initiatives.
  • Team Leadership & Management
  • Build and manage a high-performing team of Talent Managers, beginning with a team of two people and building based on business needs.
  • Foster a collaborative, results-oriented culture focused on creativity and operational excellence.
  • Provide mentorship and development opportunities for team members.
  • Operational Oversight
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards in talent contracts and partnerships.
  • Manage the division’s budget, financial planning, and performance metrics.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to guide decision-making and measure success.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sports Management, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or equivalent is a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in athlete management, sports marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of working with talent and securing high-value partnerships.
