Overview

 

Wellcom Worldwide are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Designer to join one of our fast-paced onsite clients. This full-time role will be based at the clients central New York offices working directly with the clients Creative Director and global creative departments to execute briefs for print and digital marketing content.

 

The Designer will report to the Account Director and be responsible for designing various print and digital deliverables.

 

The Designer will be supported by an experienced team of content creators and subject matter experts that will execute the appropriate marketing briefs and projects across the client’s Print (Catalogues) and digital channels (E-catalogues, Social, display, landing pages, email etc.). Key functions of this team include:

  • Photography
  • Audio/video post production
  • Creative Retouching
  • Production Design

Key tasks:

  • Print design concepting and execution, including high-end sales catalogues, single-subject volumes, and other client and public-facing publications.
  • Digital design concepting and execution, including E-catalogues, social assets, digital display assets, video, website landing pages, and email assets
  • Apply newly formed client brand guidelines to print and digital assets
  • Work closely with client Creative Director and key global marketing stakeholders to develop print and digital assets
  • Lead on design and concepting, present ideas, incorporate feedback, and execute stakeholder vision
  • Work within existing templates developed and support on developing new ones to facilitate an easy transition to artwork
  • Ensuring a meticulous attention to detail, from checking briefs to implementing feedback and adhering to brand guidelines and brief details
  • Have an understanding of motion design – the role won’t necessarily involve animation, but we would like someone who can think through animation that enhances everything from landing pages to client social feeds.
  • Conceptual thinking: All ideas welcome. If you can make it, we’ll pitch it.

To do this, we feel you will need to demonstrate:

  • A passion for the arts and graphic design
  • Comfortable with direct client feedback including multiple rounds of amends
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written 
  • Comfort with working in a fast paced environment 
  • Organization and efficiency 
  • Ability to manage multiple clients, projects and the subsequent communications 
  • A self-starter attitude as a team player who has the ability to manage upwards
  • Able to listen carefully, digest information and confidently present your points of view in both an internal team and client situation. A natural problem solver and innovator that can find a solution or educated response to any client requirement or request
  • Consistency in work quality irrespective of project size 
  • The ability to bring insight and inspiration into all work, through a strong understanding of color, typography, layout, illustration and industry standard production to create the best work possible
  • The confidence to contribute to the entire creative process. Keeping a finger on the pulse of current trends, ideas and innovations that can help our client achieve their goals

Qualifications: 

  • 4+ years of experience working in a graphic design related role, preferably within the arts or luxury industry 
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, AfterEffects, Premiere Pro, etc)
  • Proficiency in Figma
  • Proficiency across Microsoft and Google suites

Details:

  • Salary range is $70,000-$100,000 depending on experience 
  • Role is Hybrid – expected in office 3 days a week.
