We are seeking an Investment Analyst with a background in equity research to support our team’s delivery of all investment products and services. You will bring previous exposure to investment processes in wealth management or financial services and support our unique partnership with WTW.

About the role

Working for the Investment Director, you will contribute to a wide range of responsibilities such as analysing potential investment opportunities, producing market commentaries, asset allocation and ongoing risk management of our sub-adviser, WTW.

Accountabilities

  • Enhance our investment philosophy, investment process and strategy.
  • Perform ongoing due diligence of existing equity investments held in client portfolios and multi-asset funds.
  • Assist the team with model management and rebalances as required.
  • Regularly present and/or contribute to communications aimed at internal stakeholders including Portfolio Managers and Financial Planners.
  • Contribute to annual and monthly MI reporting, e.g Investment Risk Committee.
  • Oversee our strategic partner’s (WTW) adherence to the set mandate.
  • Contribute to new business initiatives and corporate developments.
  • Promote atomos investment services to potential introducers and clients to expand the funds under management.
  • Act in an ethical way at all times and always put the customers’ interests first in all market dealings.

Skills and Experience

  • 2-3 years of experience in wealth management or financial services.
  • CFA qualified or working towards designation.
  • Background in equity research but looking to broaden out across all investment functions.
  • Some ESG experience would be desirable (MSCI, Sustainalytics, etc.) although interest in ESG and sustainable investing is essential.
  • Strong Excel skills – v:lookups, pivot tables and VBA or Python coding.
  • Good user knowledge of industry platforms such as Morningstar, Factset or Bloomberg.
  • Accuracy, high level of attention to detail and pride in your work.
  • Able to demonstrate analytical thinking and good judgement.
  • Experience of client facing activities – strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to covey complex concepts in simple language to a variety of audiences.
