Job Description
As the Managing Director, APAC, based in Singapore, you will oversee the operations across the APAC region, focusing on driving sales and enhancing net income growth. In this strategic role, you will implement market-driven strategies and optimise expenses to achieve sustainable, profitable growth. Your primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement effective growth strategies for the APAC region, focusing on a variety of food applications.
- Oversee P&L responsibilities to ensure financial performance aligns with business objectives.
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with both existing and potential customers and partners to enhance market presence.
- Lead and optimise operational efficiencies at the manufacturing site to improve productivity and uphold quality standards.
- Build and manage a high-performing team, emphasising accountability, professional development, and a culture of urgency and achievement.
- Collaborate closely with global teams to ensure regional initiatives align with the organisation’s overall strategy.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; MBA is preferred.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in business management, corporate development, or marketing, specifically within the food industry.
- Proven track record in developing market strategies and driving sales growth.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage P&L and assess financial performance.
- Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, capable of building relationships across all organisational levels.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team building, coaching, and developing direct reports.
- Excellent presentation skills and willingness to travel regularly to various locations across APAC.
