Medical Assistant Position to support Faculty Practice Plan Ambulatory Operations.
Essential Duties
- Complete specialty specific pre-visit planning
- Intake patient and complete vitals, med reconciliation, same day orders and hospital-based tests
- secure insurance or procedure authorizations when needed
- secure interpreter or sign language support for patients when needed
- scan and index files in patient chart
- respond to clinical questions based on red/yellow/green triage matrix
- audit schedule for correct diagnosis and provider match
- other clinical duties as designated by the Assistant Director of Clinical Development
- graduate of an accredited medical assistant, patient care tech or certified nursing assistant program required
- national certification preferred, ie. American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or equivalent cert
Compliance Salary Range Disclosure
Expected Pay Range: $29 – $32
