Job Description
Basic Function: Responsible for providing THIE subscribers with risk management services in areas of medical professional liability, workers’ compensation, general liability, commercial auto, and other lines as required by statute. Establish and manage loss data information. Coordinate and develop focused loss control programs in all areas of liability which address critical trends and patterns in subscriber loss experience. Implement programs and monitor compliance.
Qualifications
- Degree in nursing or healthcare related field such as public health, health admin, public policy preferred, RN preferred, (or other advanced clinical license) and training in risk management, Quality Improvement, and/or patient safety is helpful.
- Minimum of 5 years in health care, ambulatory care, or healthcare risk management field.
- Experience with incident reporting, risk management, auditing clinical practice, leading program change/ transformation, training staff, knowledge of EHRs and conducting root cause analyses (RCA) and/or failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) desired or equivalent combination. Knowledge required is normally equivalent to (at a minimum) attainment of a degree in healthcare or related field of study and six years of experience in hospital risk management including risk assessment.
- Ability to obtain CPHRM.
- Must have valid drivers’ license and proof of insurance.
- Available to travel overnight 50% to 75%
