ED TECH [11a-11p] – Union General Hospital – FULL TIME

The primary purpose of your job description is to participate in the basic nursing care of the patient from admission through discharge and to perform non-nursing functions in the ED. Non-nursing duties will include but not limited to performing CNA duties, keeping ED rooms clean and stocked, clerical duties, answering phones and relaying messages appropriately. All techs are also trained to perform the role of patient advocate in the ED. The role of the advocate includes clerical type duties including but not limited to patient intake registration, chart maintenance, and patient satisfaction callbacks. This position is responsible to the Emergency Department nurses, physician and ED manager.

Education/Experience

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Required

CNA, CMA, or EMT Certification Required. BLS certification required. ED Experience Preferred
