Job Description
The GL Accountant provides organized and detail-oriented full-cycle accounting support within the Finance Department.
Responsibilities
The Supervisor is expected to have the ability to fully perform the following duties and responsibilities:
- G/L postings, fixed assets/depreciation, cost-center allocations, prepaid expenses, and accrued expenses.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Balance sheet reconciliations, supports, and schedules.
- Ensuring financial records comply with regulatory standards.
- Analyzing financial data and providing financial recommendations.
- Assist in monthly close process and financial statement preparation.
- Assist in budgeting, financial statements, and variance analysis.
- Monitor and maintain the integrity of the GL accounting system, specifically the chart of accounts.
- Assist with preparation and responses for various types of audits.
- Work closely with NetSuite Consultant.
- Perform other related tasks that may be required from time to time.
Qualifications
- Candidates must be a graduate of Accountancy.
- Minimum of 3-5 years accounting/finance or related experience.
- Intermediate level of understanding and experience in Microsoft Excel, preferably with experience using pivot tables.
- With Oracle NetSuite experience.
- Knowledge of or experience with Xero, Bill.com and other ERP system is a plus.
- CPA is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
- Has working experience in multi-cultural or shared services environment is an advantage.
- Has ability to handle confidential information.
- Ability to work independently, in a team and able to adapt in changing situation.
