The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) for Bedfordshire has an exciting opportunity to join the Senior Leadership Team as our Head of Communications and Engagement.

You’ll be designing and creating impactful content and campaigns to support the Police and Crime Commissioners (PCC) Police and Crime Plan and his mission lead approach.

As Head of Communications and Engagement, you will drive the strategic response to ensure that effective and creative outcome-focused communications connect with our communities, building trust and confidence, enabling the PCC to engage with the public.

You’ll be responsible for developing the OPCC’s strategic approach to all communications and engagement, providing communications advice on a wide range of issues to the PCC, Deputy PCC and Senior Leadership Team.

This is an exciting role, where you’ll be part of the team supporting policing, criminal justice, victim care and community safety issues, using your skills and knowledge to make a difference to the communities we support.

This role is based at Bedfordshire Police HQ in Kempston, with the option for hybrid working. You will be leading a small, dedicated team that delivers on a diverse range of proactive and reactive communications and engagement activity.
