Main Purpose

  • Coordinates all warehouse activities (Operational/distribution) in order to meet the seed availability-, and quality standards required.
  • Managing raw product and finished goods stock levels from receiving, processing and final goods.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Lead HSE efforts according ISO 45001 and Bayer safety standards focusing on legal compliance and identifying safety risks applying the HIRA methodology
  • Participate in compiling Risk assessments and Job safety analysis
  • Actively record safety observation and near misses
  • Participate in 5WHY problem solving identifying corrective and preventative actions.
  • Adhere to all applicable legislation, Bayer safety policies and procedures
  • Adhere to requirements of legal appointments
  • Actively promote the Bayer safety culture and best practices
  • Register and keep track of all finished/semi-finished product movements
  • Monitor stock in order to ensure proper warehouse storage and administration in accordance with company guidelines, procedures and requirements for both the seed plant warehouse and external, rented warehouses.
  • Maintain the product quality stored in the internal and external facilities
  • Ensure that all required data is put into the information system and required reports are made on time.
  • Record all daily movements according to internal/external customer needs, safety norms and quality requirements.
  • Conduct and coordinate duties of forklift drivers in order to ensure timely and accurate transportation of goods and materials within the plant.
  • Prepare and document material transfers following established procedures. Maintain operational records as required by the QMS management & onePSS systems.
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards and management system set by ISO9001:2015
  • Manage personnel to ensure excellence in housekeeping and stock control.
  • Complete documentation and report regarding stock at the warehouse in a proper and timely manner.
  • Responsible for the monitoring and control of inventory on a regular basis to ensure minimal variance between SAP and physical stock. Balancing of LX02
  • Participate /conduct inventory stock counts
  • Utilize company resources in an efficient manner in order to control cost
  • Supervise temporary/seasonal staff
  • Consumable stock level controls and weekly mass balance checks of chemicals and bags consumed.
  • Support the implementation of onePSS in warehouses.
  • Manage operations through the production system platform onePSS.
  • Support Continuous improvement.
  • Ensure carry-over samples are submitted for re-testing
  • Take control of fumigation and aerial spraying for all warehouses.

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Minimum Gr 12 or 2 -3 years experience in warehouse processes and supervision
  • Preferably Logistics/Warehouse Management qualification
  • Forklift driver certification
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Results focused with ability to work on own initiative
  • Strong teamwork (flexibility to work across the areas and positively influencing others)
  • Fluent in English
  • Establish clear direction and making decisions on a timely manner
  • SAP proficiency will be an advantage
  • Willing and able to work shifts when required
