We were founded in 1886 as an orphanage and have grown into an organization operating across the Carolinas and into Florida with new operations expanding in Tennessee. Thompson’s continuum of care encompasses three domains: prevention services, foster care, and mental health. What will you do as a Youth Care Specialist for our youth residential programs?
- As a Youth Care specialist, you will provide supervision, support, guidance, and build a therapeutic relationship with the youth under your care.
- A typical day as a Youth Care Specialist will include engaging with youth in the program, providing direction, structure and support for their physical and physiological needs. Scheduling and participating in activities, ensuring the physical milieus remain clean and safe, completing daily documentation as required by regulatory standards and transporting clients as needed for appointments and activities
- This position may require travel to various residential facilities within the Johnson City area.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and meet any credentialing, licensing and privileging standards as it pertains to the program
- High School diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Must have at least one year experience working in a residential youth operation or related experience working in the field of child and family services.

Salary Description
$17 – $19/hour based on experience
