Qualifications

  • Alabama public school experience preferred but not required.
  • Associate degree or 48 hours from an accredited college or university.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Previous experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision.
  • Word processing skills required.
  • Database and spreadsheet skills preferred but not required.
  • Effective human relation skills.
  • Professionalism, dedication and flexibility.
  • Must have a clear background check with the ABI and FBI.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain Student Information System
  • Input all New Information and Update as Needed
  • Enroll and Withdraw Students Using PowerSchool.
  • Create Student Schedules
  • Verify and Print Grading Reports and Report Cards
  • Create and Disseminate Reports for Principal
  • Maintain & Coordinate attendance reports as outlined by O.C.S.
  • Daily Check-in/outs
  • Attendance Letters
  • Maintain Accurate Attendance Coding
  • Maintain Regular Communication with Parents regarding Student Attendance

3 3. General Office Procedures

  • Answer Phone
  • Use Fax/Copier

4 4. Assist school bookkeeper as needed

  • Receipt Funds and adheres to appropriate accounting procedures.

5 5. Participate in In-Service Training Programs and attend regular meetings with the District Technology Coordinator.

6 6. Assume other duties as assigned by Administrator.

Physical Demands

Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move objects.

ANNUAL CALENDAR DAYS: 12 Months (235 Days, 7.5 Hrs.)

Salary Range: According to Opelika City Schools Salary Schedule (Salary based on employment for complete year).
