Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate production runs, ensuring timely and efficient production of ice cream products
• Collaborate with the production team to manufacture high-quality ice cream, ensuring compliance with food safety and allergen controls
• Train and develop team members to improve skills and knowledge, ensuring a high-performing team
• Enforce food safety and allergen controls, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment
• Identify opportunities to improve quality and efficiency, implementing changes and monitoring results
• Assist in the design and development of new ice cream recipes and adjustments to existing recipes
• Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock and minimizing waste
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and effective communication
• Conduct regular quality control checks, ensuring products meet high standards
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying and implementing process improvements
• Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards

Work Environment

• The Ice Cream Team Manager will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with frequent exposure to noise, cold temperatures, and humidity.
• The position requires standing for long periods, lifting, and bending.
• The Ice Cream Department Manager will be required to work in a team environment and may be required to work overtime during peak periods.

Requirements

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment, preferably in ice cream production
• Strong knowledge of food safety and allergen controls, with experience in implementing and enforcing these protocols
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to train and develop team members
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
• Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and accuracy
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods

Salary Description

$20 – $27 per hour
