About The Position

ID: 52725529 Shift: Night 12×3 Description: HWL Medical Center-AN-0403 PCU RN60 MILE RADIUS RULE12hr Nights – weekend, holiday and call weeksGraduate from an accredited School of Nursing.Current critical care experience preferred.Must have a current RN license.Traveler must have completed at least 1 successful traveler assignment. New travelers will not be considered.Possesses a thorough knowledge of nursing principles, ability to provide quality patient care and ability to assess patient’s needs, e.g. clinical, teaching, mental and spiritual.Must recognize safety issues to self and others and be able to assess and implement use of lifts or move patients in a safe manner.Must be able to function well in stressful situations and have good, creative, problem-solving skills.Strong leadership skills with ability to prioritize and delegate.May be required to assume duties as a charge nurse.Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills required.Current NYS RN license.BLS required.ACLS required.NIHSS required.PALS preferred.Coronary care course or successful completion of challenge exam within orientation period.Basic lethal dysrhythmia within six months of employment., and NIHSS certification within the first 6 months of employment.Previous Samaritan employees have to be gone at least 2 years and be eligible for rehire to be considered.
