Job Description
Job Summary:
The Costing Clerk is responsible for tracking and recording production costs, including raw materials, labor, and overheads. They assist in preparing cost reports, monitoring inventory, and ensuring accurate cost allocation in the plastic manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Calculate and record production costs (materials, labor, overhead).
- Monitor inventory and assist with stock valuation.
- Prepare monthly cost reports and analyze cost variances.
- Support pricing teams by providing cost data for quotes.
- Reconcile and document cost transactions accurately.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma (or equivalent); degree in accounting/finance preferred.
- 1-3 years of costing or accounting experience in manufacturing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP systems a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
