How can you make an impact?

McGraw Hill has an immediate opening for a detail-oriented and strategic Production Specialist to support K5 Dual Literacy. The Production Specialist is responsible for establishing trust with cross-functional partners, ensure on-time delivery, drive communication, identify risks and issues relevant to Build activities.

This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States. This is a Project Status Worker (PSW) role with an end date of September 30, 2028.

What you will be doing:

  • Creating detailed schedules for deliverables as needed within the end-to-end product lifecycle process.
  • Collaborating with vendors and project stakeholders to establish trust with cross-functional partners, ensure on-time delivery, drive communication, identify risks and issues relevant to Build activities
  • Lead project meetings including all key project resources and vendors
  • Create and manage planning documents and other project artifacts including schedules for composition, digital delivery, reprints, translations, assessment and other activities as assigned
  • Align delivery dates to project milestones
  • Identify and manage risks and issues with vendor and working team, escalating as needed
  • Document and manage action items for follow-through
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure schedule is realistic, understood, and executed on time
  • Document and assess implications of changes and decisions regarding scope and budget
  • Assign vendors based on scope with support from manager
  • Hold stakeholders accountable by monitoring performance against plan and escalating effectively
  • Ensure quality checks are performed as defined per project plan
  • Utilize and oversee usage of production and delivery systems like K4, Primact, Habitat, and InDesign

We are looking for someone with…

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1-5 years total work experience
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Acute attention to details
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Experience using Microsoft office tools and project management tools like smartsheet
  • Familiarity with project management framework and methodologies including Agile and Waterfall

The pay range for this position is between $50,000-$55,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
